Not saying that there might not be legitimate reasons for this (maybe stipulations from their vendors), but it sure is a push off for me.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Sometimes a manufacturer has restrictions on pricing to keep their vendors in a certain price structure, so advertising a special forum pricing might get them in trouble...

As far as I am concerned after more than a decade on this forum, there are only 6 reliable guys to deal with who provide great service and keep the corvette tax to a minimum. Gene Culley, Nate Caro, Double D Dennis, JW, Chip, and Pat Scorzetti. If I can't get what I need from any of them, I don't bother.
