LT Headers - Race or Emissions Headers??
Experts, I have a 2002 Z and am looking into putting some LTs on it. I'm thinking I'm going to buy Kooks and have a question. I see they make Race headers and Emissions headers. My question, which one do I need to get. My shop said I need the Race version as my Z doesn't have EGR, is this true?

if your shop doesn't know the difference i think i would start looking for a new place to take the car lol... it may not have egr but it still has an air pump which are what those fittings on the headers are for... you can get either version, "race" if you want to remove the air pump system and the emission ones if you intend on keeping the air system intact... if it was me and there was the option to get either one i would get the race version and remove the air pump and it's components since it is pretty pointless anyway, especially if you are modifying the car... if you do this you will have to get the codes tuned out though

I run LG streets on my 02Z.
Make sure you put rear O2 sensor adapters on the front and run rear O2sensors there.
That should prevent any O2 related codes from popping up.
