Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone. After a restless night of sleep, I peeked into the garage this morning and couldn't believe what I saw. My worst fears were confirmed. The rain had damaged my beloved Electron Blue Z06. See below for the before and after pics.
Here's the before shot, just days after I purchased her. She's beautiful.
Here's what I found in my garage this morning.
I'm devastated...
Now you did it, the c4 section will hunt you down for this , lock your doors man

My God man... what were you thinking? Immediately go to the garage and love on your other lady. Lay on the polish. Use your tears of apology to beg her forgiveness, wiping away the water spots caused by the evil rain. Treat her to some generous outpouring of your hard earned money to show her that you have nothing but contempt for yourself and that you won't ever let it happen again. Sheesh... only one thought comes to mind.
The same thing happened to me last year. I asked some experts in the field and they advised me to take it to a body shop that has a frame straightening machine.
They chained it to the machine and stretched it real tight, end to end, then let it sit like that on the machine for two weeks while it completely dried out.
I live in southern Louisiana and most of the people can not drive worth a flip in beautiful weather. I choose not to drive mine in the rain around here because of the ignorance of others not because I want to "baby" the car!

Yet... another disgusting corvette forum tale that makes my stomach turn.. What were you thinking man? When it rains you USE her car...now you have a C4...how many more times does this need to happen before some of us learn. A crying shame.
If 1 day resulted in a generational loss to a C4, how many more days before this car simply turns into a Blue Flame straight 6 and a fiberglass repair kit sitting in your garage ??? Man, what have you done! Rain = bad!

Man that sucks. Be very careful from here on however. The second time I got caught, this is what happened:

Same holds true here in Texas but it's hard for me not to drive in the rain, the weathermen couldn't give a good forecast to save their life. My car has shrunk a little, but it's still fun to drive.
