Are you doing a burnout first? You need heat in drag radials to work. Any tire for that matter.
Work on easing into the throttle. 3.73s is a lot for the street even on a stock or close to stock power levels. The MN12 trans is to thank for that one. Your 3.73s are like 3.90+ on an MN6 trans.

Yes heat them up first.
Taller gear youll just spin them longer.
Lower gear they will catch up to the car quicker if they spin
Oh and nothings perfect.
You really have a sticky issue get a tire with a real sidewall thats not so stiff (meaning short!) and has some give.
if the car is stock size you have should work fine
