had mine 2 years drive it everyday and when it rains it gets wet. It sleeps in a garage. only leaks are when I open drivers door to get in after it has rained...if I am quick only a couple of drips hit my seat. go for it. best decision I ever made.
Had mine for seven years now and never had a leak. It is driven in the rain, but not in the snow here because of all the cinders and chemicals they put down. It rests between uses in a heated garage and is cared for with Ragg Top products.
During a wash mine leaks about a teaspoon of water on to the seat on each side. Id doesn't leak if it gets rained on (rare). I drive with the top down at EVERY opportunity. My wife has to be warned if that is the plan so if she is coming along, it's less complicated to just leave the top up. Mine goes inside each night. When I am at work (like now) it is sitting with the top down and me checking the sky often. I am overdue for a RaggTopp treatment. I don't like how the creases can set in if the top is down for a long time. I am gald I have it, but there is a drawback. I don't like the very limited access to the cargo area from either seat. The waterfall is in the way.
Theres nothing like a vert in my opion and you will get a small leak once in a while. GM make a lube you can put on the seals and it help alot so when i see a smal leak i know its time to treat the seals again.
Had mine for about 6 months before I drove it in the rain. Got really curious one day when it was raining pretty hard and told the wife lets go out for a ride. She thought I was nuts because I had just washed and waxed it the day before. Went out for about 2 hours at varying speeds on the Interstate and in town. Much to my surprise it didn't leak at all, expected to see some water coming in at some point but never did.
