Default Back from ECS…. and a quick video

So I got my car back from ECS last week. Had them do their sc600 kit with the Novi 1500 Supercharger. They did a Mantic Single disk at the same time. I have less than 20kmiles and my stock clutch 'might' have been good for a while, but I really wanted to get it all done at once. Car made 590whp, 521wtq.

I also had them change out the valve springs, install their ECS Trans-Brace and hardened output shaft.

I've only had it back a few days, but it really feels like a beast. Not tempted to get too crazy with it yet with the colder weather, and summer tires on the car. I can tell that I'll probably be getting some drag radials in the near future.

For those still wondering if ECS is the real deal, you should believe the hype. This is a real place, and the people who work there are pretty awesome. I've been there a few times, and every time I go there they are busy, and very courteous. I would recommend them to anyone.
I've been to more than a few shops over the years with various cars, and many were touted to be the best thing out there by various forums. I found myself dissapointed with most of them.
I can assure you, that this place is the place where you want to bring your car if you want some quality work done.

As for the clutch.. it feels.. superb! Very very close to stock grab, and almost identical pedal feel. Glad I went with their suggestion.

Here's a quick movie after I cleaned her up.
(I love that Tial BOV sound!)

I've heard otherwise as far as their abilities go. Wouldn't trust them any further than I could throw them. Glad you got your car back in one piece though!

Awesome, great looking and sounding car, very nicely modded. ECS is the best, you are definitely going to enjoy that car more than ever now. And the Mantic clutches are great, I love my Mantic dual. Never driven aftermarket clutch that drive so close to OEM.

Very nice! I take it you got the "louder" version of the Tial BOV.
I am getting ready to do the same to my '03Z(except I have the
stock TI's). You really can't beat ECS!

On the clutch, how is engagement compared to stock in worst
case situations like pulling out into traffic on a bit of an incline?
My wife drives my Vette when I take her car on business some
days and she could not stand the spec twin disc in my last
procharged Z06.
Congrats!

Nice have almost the same set up except I have the 2500. Any reason they used the 1500 over the 2500.

Thanks man. Yeah the mantic is pretty good. I can tell its not stock.. But it's very very close. Pedal feel is really light and engagement feels Precise without being grabby and jittery. I've had aftermarket clutches in my other vettes and mustangs. This is def the best feeling performance clutch I've had in a car

My wife isn't allowed in the drivers seat... But that's got nothing to do with the clutch

Not sure. Chris said they've been getting some nice torque numbers with the 1500s and felt it was the right choice for my car and how I use it.

Huh? Never spoke to you, done business with you, or would we have given you any reason to say such a thing. Sorry you feel that way, but I guess as long as our customers do not, thats all that matters.

You have the 2000 Dave, which is a great head unit and can actually sustain a little more HP then the 1500, but with that being said we have ran stock cars into the 9's with the 1500.
They are both great head units!!

LOL.Thanks for the reply. Any chance you could post a dyno sheet?
I'd love to see the torque curve. The 1500 really seems to bring low
end torque to the party.
Also, what peak boost are you pushing?

I'm an ECS YSi to 2500 convert - will give you my full impressions soon. Where are you located? If semi-local, happy to take you out for the 2500 ride to get a sense of what the head-unit runs like.

Not sure about the boost when it was on the dyno. (I also have not driven it hard enough to see where it tops off).
