Hi guys; I currently have a D-1SC Pro charger operating on the largest pulley, as well as a meth kit with a pro pump keeping the engine cool while in boost. I think I'm producing approx. 700hp at the engine. My question is if I were to have the smaller pulley installed thus increase the HP, will the meth kit be enough to keep the engine from being compromised? I think this pro charger is good for 900HP. Or do I need to make any mods to maintain the vehicles safety/integrity/ and most importantly longevity. Thanks Ben
Have you dyno'ed it? What did it make at the rear wheels?
Assuming you have proper fuel to go along with the extra air, the meth will keep it safer. However, stock bottom ends do not last long at or above 650rwhp in most cases. The number one thing you can do to keep the motor alive is to pick a good tuner. There are plenty that post in the forced induction forum.
I recently put high flow Catalytics in soni would say that I'm probably at 590HP at the wheels. I'll have it dyno'd sometimes this year and see for sure. I'm using 94 octane and 99.9% methanol so up to now all is well. can u elaborate on what u mean by a good tuner, I'm not as tech savvy as I would like to think. Oh and Pete I like the boom comment, funny stuff, short and precise!! thanks guys Ben
