I hate GMPARTSHOUSE!!!!!!
Since that billboard has been put up we have been getting thousands more hits per day to our website. We normally have over a million hits to our website (1.1 to 1.5 million) per month so I would imagine we will have well over 2 million hits by the end of this month.
We have had customers contact us and ask to purchase posters for this and get temporary tattoos made up like the one on her boob.
I'm ok with the ad. Reason being? I cannot even go to Wawa here in the middle of the summer without seeing even more than that hanging out. I do have little ladies, 8 and 10, and they even commented to me that when we go to Ocean City or the Outer Banks in NC that they see way more boobage than that. You honestly can't go anywhere without seeing things like that these days.
We even have another billboard on 422 locally of a woman laying across the billboard with some skin exposed and all it says is The Loft, come to us to see the rest or something like that... lol. The Loft is apartments! What does a woman have to do with apartments? However, that ad is getting a ton of attention.
Multiple studies have shown 95% and higher of our customers are men. We have some of the women asking for the temporary tattoos, so that means less than 5% total, of customers are not going to like it.
Residents are complaining and are saying they are going to the township and boro to get the billboard removed, however, a woman in a bikini is not illegal and there is nothing wrong with it, so the billboard will not be coming down.
Last year we came up with the slogan, Home of Vehicle Enhancement, and the Enhancement was added for a reason!

I see the billboard structure you are using has two sides, how about an ad on the other side showing a slightly exposed bottom (like the old coppertone add with a pulled down towel and add a J-lo or Kim K. style butt) with your logo tattoo on a cheek and text saying "rock bottom prices"?

To whom it may concern,
I was shocked to see the lewd, suggestive image on your billboard that was installed yesterday along 422 just west of Myerstown, PA.
Our town & surrounding areas are a very conservative group of people and we find this type of moral invasion extremely offensive.
I beg of you to consider the negative moral impact this has on our young men and fathers who are trying to live above the corruption that
is running rampant in our world and who are endeavoring to keep our family units together while most families are falling apart.
Please consider your accountability before God in this decision to display this suggestive image.
I welcome your response.
Sincerely

I’m writing to voice my opinion concerning the recently posted billboard on Lincoln Avenue in Myerstown, PA. I find the billboard to be vulgar, almost pornographic in nature, and entirely unnecessary to sell car parts. Myerstown is a conservative, family oriented area and families do not need to be exposed to this type of advertisement. I trust you might consider redesigning your ad or removing it completely. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I currently drive a GM Chevy Impala but your ad does not encourage me to buy parts from you.

Good morning…I drive Route 422 in Myerstown every day on my way to work. I saw a billboard by your company that shocked me. I could not believe that a company would stoop so low as to advertise with this type of immodesty and nudity when they are trying to sell car parts. I had never heard of your company and now that I have, I do not want to purchase anything from a company that has values such as these. It is definitely gaining your company publicity but I’m not sure it is the kind you want? Please consider taking it down as there are children, men and women who will be subject to this billboard who would otherwise not choose to see this kind of pornography. I beg of you, please reconsider your marketing strategy. I believe God will bless your business more if you bless Him in your actions. Have a wonderful day.
Hello. I called my local outdoor advertising company, Lamar to complain that the "Enhance Your Ride" billboard for GM Parts House . Com is sexually too explicit for our area. It shows bikini clad breasts close up and overspilling the bikini. On the breast is a tattoo of GM. The Phrase is playing on the idea of breast enhancement.
I won't drive by this ad with my 10 year old sons in the car. Please stop that type of advertising. I respectfully ask.
Lamar said that it is not their billboard. They sent a rep out to photograph the ad. They will contact me with the actual billboard company and I will voice my concern to them when I have a contact number.
Respectfully,

I am disgusted that your company has to stoop to such levels to drum up business! (aka your bikini billboard) I won't be servicing my vehicles with any parts from your business
