I just gave $20k for an '04 Z06 CE in Jan. Granted it had 97k miles, but it's still in excellent shape. I feel I should have given $18k based on forum prices, but on autotrader it was the best deal around. You're going to get whatever someone is willing to pay, and around here on CL people are asking a lot more than what I paid.

I looked all over the country using search engines and the big websites,
for about 3 months. I don't believe the people that claim they buy "like new"
low mileage CE cars for 3-4 grand less. The 03 anniversary editions go for
even more (that garnet red really is a great color).

That said, I expect the value to continue to drop as each year goes by ...
but I dont care becuase I am never going to sell mine!

It stilll looks, runs and attracts attention like it is brand new!

I paid $25k for mine from a dealer last May. Car had 21k miles, brand new Goodyear F1s and looked like new.

I looked for several months and this was a good deal, Florida seems to be a little higher in price than some other places.

I'm now buried in the car as I've spent about $3k on upgrades over the last year, but that's OK, its a keeper.

I'm just curious... Was that from a dealer or private seller?

I paid 30K even for my 2004 CE ZO6, with 2800 original miles. Bought it from a private seller, which IMO, is the way to go.

And I agree with SimpleTom, the value will drop every year, but who cares? Nearly everything does in this economy, seems like nothing is an investment anymore (currently), including houses.

Buy the car to drive and enjoy.

This is the car I purchased Feb 2011 http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-c...-22-000-a.html

I was very lucky the seller ( private party ) was terrific seeing as I am from NH and he is in Calif - the sale went smoothly. I paid the $22k he asked with no regrets at all - I too had been looking for a CE for awhile and when I saw this go up for sale I jumped right on it. I flew out and drove it home and had a blast. I absolutely love this car !!

My car is just like yours except for the MSRC. I paid $23.5 for mine with 29K. It came with both tops. Bought from a local seller. The car has the original tires and they need to be replaced but the car was very well maintained. I’m very happy with it and happy with what I paid for it. I think that the price was very fair. LMB is a great color however the fact that it is a "commemorative" adds absolutely nothing to it unless you're selling it to someone who knows nothing about corvettes.

Oh yeah, it's got brand new michelin pilot+ tires. Wow, did that make a big difference! Thanks for all the great info. Hate to sell it. Man what an awesome car. Pretty much king of the road 99.9% of the time.
