i just hit 34k in mine haha... i think they resolved the spring problem in 03 so you should be fine until you do the cam... mine is an 02 and sometimes it worries me lol... maybe one of these days i'll swap them out... how far in the future do you plan to do the cam swap?... you might find a reputable tuner in your area and ask how much they charge for an initial tune and a re-tune in the future... some places will offer you a hefty discount on tuning if you keep going back as you add more parts

that is a good ideal..in my area there is not anything for tuners..i have to go colorado springs or denver to get someone who knows what they are doing..and as far as my cam swap..i dunno..i am hoping sometime this summer..

Send your PCM to ECS if you can have a little down time. I did it 3 years ago and the canned tune is great for bolt ons. Once you cam it have it tuned locally.
Good call on the cats I hae the LG PRO'S love them like JW says send your pcm in Ecs will fix a few things for you to make it run good then do all the cam work and get a Dyno Tune and have themm check your street ability and it will rock
i got tracking number should be here firday..that is pretty damn quick!!!..thanks again for having such amazing customer service..makes me feel better know that there is still good people in this world...and as far as the links go..i have some saved..but more would always be helpfull..thanks again!!!!
well i finally went ahead and order some LG headers, pretty excited to get them installed, my car is a 03 Z06 stock other then the vararam intake system...my only other question is after i get the headers installed should i have my car tuned?
My 04z has a vararam and lg 1-3/4'' pros with high flow cats thru stock ti's
Drove it for about 3k miles that way with no tune , Just got mine tuned today and there is a noticable difference much more responsive and really feel the car pull at the 4-5k rpm range, made 384 rwhp and 378 torque (get it tuned)
Also i think lt headers are the best mod for a street car thru stock ti's it sounds awsome

Definitely get it tuned. You won't get the optimal performance with the combo of the Vararam and the headers without the tune. The ECS mail order tune is more than sufficient if you can remove the PCM and wait two days, and its also a good bargain. I have a Blackwing and Kooks headers and the ECS tune really waked up the car. Good luck and enjoy!
