My 1st vette and I am looking at a 2001 automatic base convertible. Red with custom red seats and carpet. Showroom condition. The car only has 1433 miles!!! Only 1 owner, heated garage kept, and never saw rain. Top has only been up once. Only started ocasionally and driven to be inspected the past 5 years. No HUD which I really wanted. I have 2 questions. Is there any potential problems from not driving it much and the price is $25000 firm which seems fair but is it too high..Thanks..

It depends I guess. If you're looking for a next to nothing mile car to let sit in your garage another 20 years in that same condition (keeping it bone stock and 1400 miles), it's a good find and I'd pick it up.
If you're going to be driving this thing and it's going to get another 20,000 miles on it over the next few years I would take a pass. That super cool odometer reading is going to be ruined by the end of summer anyway. The only thing you will have to show for it will be $6,000 less in your bank account.
You can probably pick up a (02-04 for the HUD) 30K mile C5 for ~$20,000. Heck probably even a C5Z if you are patient.

I'll second that. The value tied to freakishly low miles is only there as long as the miles are there.
The actual difference between a 1400 mile car and a 20,000 mile (well maintained) car is tiny, in terms of wear.
