Plasti-Dip again...sorry :)
I detailed my car the other day and did not like the dullness of the plastidipped side spears, so I hit them with some tire dressing and, voila, they now look much blacker, and not so dusty looking. Don't ask me for pics...just do it!
You know, I was detailing mine on Sunday and I was curious how the "Back To Black" stuff I got would work. To be honest I was just a bit lazy to try a test spot on the lowest part of the valance, but now I may have to try it.

I asked this question on the bigger PlastiDip thread. I am about to do my wheels and was curious what happens when you dress your tires and get it on the plastidip. I'm doing the targa and halo as well and was gonna use the glossifier but maybe tire shine will be fine.

Good question...not sure about an entire wheel. The critical point is you do not want to rub/disturb the plastiDip in any way. Once you damage it, you are screwed, and it must be completely removed, then the whole process repeated. Otherwise, if you try to repair it by re-coating over a defect it just builds up over it, but doesn't hide it. This happened when I initially did the side spears....learned the hard way. So...my advice is to use the tire spray. Just let it dry without brushing/wiping it. You can go in later and clean up any painted/chrome surfaces if they get tire spray on them...just be careful around the plastiDip.
