To all those that said " they're just doing there thing", I hope you don't me doing "my thing" in your yard! Again, use mouse traps. They end up shaking them off their foot ( no harm done ) and like most animals, they won't return to the spot they were hurt at. Would you go back to the same bar you got your butt kicked at?

Right. Except for broken bones. Brilliant. Again, there are many options that do NOT require physically harming the animals. Those options have already been suggested.

No sir, you are Rats can shake the things off with no ill effect. I dare say a cat's foot is certainly stronger. Jeez, I can't believe we're arguing about something like this. Time to move on.

What are you, a rodent professional? Did you stick around to inspect the rat's foot? Of course, you didn't. I have owned cats and dogs for my entire life---yes, a wire spring mouse/rat trap will harm a small animal's foot.

Exactly. You should definitely leave and let people in here offer good advice.
Have none of you heard of the "California POP TOP?It was designed to keep cats off off convertible tops. It is made of DuPont Tyvek and fits from the bottom of the windshield over the top and fits into the corners of the trunk lid. There is a little more to it but I cannot download pics at this time.I purchased this on the forum so I am assuming that it is OK to give up their web site here.caPopYop.com.I am not recommending this to anybody as I have yet to use mine. I had put my vette in storage before I had a chance to use it.It is still in the package.Besides cats it is good protection for your top or any C5-6 when you are traveling.

Answer: Why should I spend more money to protect my investment, when the cat is not mine. My cat stayed in the house, my neighbor let his roam. I pecked him off of the top of my truck one day with a pellet rifle with a scope. Did not kill him, just stung him, and he is some what smart so he never came back. I kept my cat inside, he has since passed so I do like cats, but I do not like my neighbors cats being on my property or damaging it. Like I said in a earlier post its not a cat problem its a person (the owners) problem.
All it will take is to fire off a law suit, for damage and the owner will shape up, once his home owners insurance carrier nails him with a higher premium. I have seen this first hand. One of neighbors owns a big goofy yellow lab, my other neighbor is a proffesional golfer. Lab runs and harmlessley clips him from the rear and breaks his leg. He is out of work for a year, sues lab owners home owners insurance and wins $275,000 loss of salary law suit and my neighbor gets dropped from his home owners insurance, becuase he refuses to get rid of the lab. So its not the cat, dog, or goat etc, its the un-responsible owner.
That is the obvious solution and a sensible one. I happen to live in a 1940's built bungalow and that would require installing an entirely new garage door, if that would even work. That's not practical in the least, unless I could bill that cat's owner. Of course, I have no idea who that is because the tards that live in my neighborhood all let their cats run wild. I guess I can take the philosophical approach; what's a little **** anyway?

I read somewhere that the current antifreeze is formulated to not harm critters, Anyone else heard this?
Mr.Bill
In Maryland as of Jan 1 if I'm not mistaken all antifreeze has to have a bittering agent in it. Supposedly makes the animals not like the taste and therefore saves lives.
Back to cats. Me personally I f'ing hate cats and can't stand the feeding of strays. My gd neighbor insists on feeding the strays around here and for some reason one of them has chosen to take up residence in the bushes beside my house. Darn thing ***** and pisses all over in that area and it stinks to high heaven some days. I let my lab loose on that one regularly and he is more than happy to oblige me by chasing said offendor back into the other yard. He's never caught one yet, and I can imagine his surprise they day he does. He'll really hate the bastards then just like I do.
