Default What to do while the nose is off?

While the nose is off for paint I figure I need to take advantage of the extra working room. I'd like to do an upgrade to the factory fog lights, I read where some of you have some fogs that are almost as good as driving lights. Any suggestions on what and where to buy would be helpful.

I have some Z06 screens to put in the nose when it goes back on. Do you leave the existing fog light shrouds in place in addition to the screens? Not sure how they are attached on a Z06 or if there are any shrouds behind the screens on a Z06.

I don't have a cold air kit and was thinking now would be a good time to add if I can squeeze it into the budget. I am thinking Vararam but the quality issues I keep hearing about are troubling. Does anything have to be cut to install a Vararam system? I also like the cold air kit that is placed in the front license area but at the same time have a problem with the idea of cutting out that part of the cover.

Maybe some lighting/lens changes to the parking lights? What's the hot ticket there?

A curb alert for sure! I suck at judging where the front is on this car.

Ideas, suggestions, recommendations and pics of your upgrades welcomed.

Clean the condenser/radiator. Some people want the build sheet from inside the frame rail for some reason-pretty worthless but some get all gooey over it.

Yep, there is some trash up at the top of the condensor. I wouldn't pull the styrofoam off for the buildsheet myself, I'll save that experience for the next owner, in about 20 or so years.

Reach in to the frame tube and you will find the build sheet.

Clean out all the leaves, paper, etc that has been sucked up into the radiator and then buy a protective screen to install after you remount the front fascia.

I also agree that now is a great time to install or upgrade your light, either the fog lights or corners. Perhaps new corner housings with LEDs, switchbacks, and HID fogs. All can be purchased from JW Motoring. That's where I got mine.

You could always frame it and hang it on the garage wall like I did.

PIAA fog lights are a decent upgrade and some clear corners with LEDs are another good mod.

I know how rabid we are about originality but wouldn't just ordering a build sheet from the NCM be just as good?

Any vacuum lines you see. Check, repair/replace. There is a pump up front there that has the hard plastic lines going to it.

Can't you just order a build sheet from the Corvette Museum?

Default Foglights

Member Radioflyer here has a HID foglamp kit that uses the European glass lense foglight assemblies. Put one in my car-very well engineered.
