As a new (to me) owner of a 2000 coupe, why is it tht I see one or two Corvettes almost every time I'm in my daily driver but, when I have the Vette out for a ride, wait for it NOTHING. How am I ever going to perfect a WAVE if I never see another Vette while driving my own? OK, you can go back to regularly scheduled programming.
About 50-50 for me. I ride a bike as well,,and even there not every one waves(a higher percentage though). I always wave in/on both,,if they see me and reciprocate great,, if the don't,,,no biggie!! Ya figure not every one spots you in the oncoming traffic or many par preoccupied or distracted. Hang in there,,your time will come!!

When the time comes just pray you don't get over excited like my wife did. I had told her all about the wave so one day we were driving and she practically stands on the seat waving out the roof at this other car, she was pretty pumped about the whole thing.
I bet the guy she was waving at in the Firebird thought she was crazy.

Hey Scott, dont waste your time, I am not a fan of the wave but i have tried to wave about 4 times in the last couple weeks and not one has waved back, Oh well. Thats detroit area driving for ya every man for himself ,sad but true
So I tried and now i will only wave if waved to. No big deal
The funny thing is its all older gentlemen i have waved at and there the ones (on here anyway) that get upset about not waving

Around here, people sitting on their front porches wave at cars going by, so the wave is pretty common. I almost always get a wave back on the rare occasion when I actually see another Corvette.
I've noticed that the C6 Z06 guys are the ones least likely to wave back. What's up with that?
I got up early this morning and did a final check on the cruise route for Corvette Expo in Est Tennessee next week end. I turned on to highway 92 near Dandridge Tn and a silver C-5 convertible came around the curve towards me. With in 5 miles a yellow C-5 passed me going the other direction. Both waved. It was a rainy morning and the c-5s were out in it. If it was any of you guys, I was driving the black vert,
That's funny but true. Happened to me this weekend, I am out no corvettes. This morning while riding into work in my truck, three corvettes. Waving from the truck just doesn't work.
