Frankly the show was disappointing. The segment was about 10 minutes and half of it was dealing with what he had to do to get entrance to the paint booth. Apparently the producer had the choice of sending him to the Corvette plant or an underwear factory (this is his explanation of how he wound up at the Corvette facility). I thought even if I learned one new thing, it would be worthwhile. He treated the whole segment as one continuous joke. Oh well.
I seem to remember a show, 'How It's Made' maybe? Good documentary on the Corvette assembly plant if I recall correctly.

Nice, "How it's made" makes some great shows. I'll have to search for that one.
There was a show about it on the RFD network. Some Kentucky show on there. I DVRed it but moved it to my hard drive. I will find it and post up what I can find later.
Just finished watching the Corvette tour from Larry the Cable guy, it sucked, wasn't worth the time... too short, really didn't show what I wanted to see, the line and how the vette was put together... Guess I'll just stick to YouTube "Mega Factories"...
If you have ever visited the Corvette plant, they do not allow cameras in...so I assume that Larry and crew would be very limited to what they could shoot. That said it was a short, boring segment. I did get a kick out of the older lady shifting and otherwise getting it on in a Z06 with Larry as a passenger getting motion sick.
Next week Larry's in New Orleans. Part of it he interviews a voo-doo Dr. Funy thing is we were there last October and visited the same voo-doo museum and talked to the Dr. We had missed Larry and crew taping the segment by about an hour or so. Didn't even know they were in town.

Same here...the Corvette segment was a pile of crap...just like Larry
They usually save the best segment for last in an hour long show. The ads preceding the show peak your interest and you stay tuned through all of the segments and the never ending commercials in anticipation leading up to the grand finale.
I grudgingly endured the bits with Larry and crew wrangling kangaroos and mounting sheep and feigning his attempts at humor during the first 50 minutes in hopes of actually seeing something worthwhile on the Corvette plant.
B+++s++t
That's an hour of my life I could have found something more interesting to do...
I DVR'd it and watched it later. I fast forwarded it through the earlier segments so I only wasted about 10 minutes of my life.: I also somewhat enjoyed the Aunt Bea test drive segment but even there I felt like they could at least have used that segment to more effectively express the raw power of the Z06. I guess it really wasn't about the Corvette but about Larry being funny. A good production could have accomplished both.
I'm going to correct my earlier post in this thread - I believe the Corvette factory program I remember was from a series called 'Super Factories' rather than 'How It's Made', although they are both excellent programs.
All I can say is I am glad I DVRed this show. That would have been the longest hour in my life. It is a sad state when someone like this gets paid all this money to act like an idiot. I have never thought this guy was funny in the least. I don't think many at the plant seemed amused with him either.
Last week I "cut the cord" Put up an OTA antenna, got a trial of Netflix and canceled Direct TV. When I saw all these threads about a Corvette show, I thought Oh Crap!
Reading your reviews makes me feel much better. Doesn't sound like I missed anything. Certainly not anything worth $75 a month.
If I were a born and raised in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia or any of the other great southern states, I would be so upset with a guy from Nebraska and lives in Nebraska, to go around acting like a totally idiot from the south. Maybe it is just me, but I would take his act as a slam against all southern as been totally inept and just plain backwards.
Just for the record, I was born in Alabama, but grew up from 5years on in the north, but I have now lived in Florida for the past 44 years.
I can't believe I watched that crap for nearly an hour to see a lame five minute segment at the end.
Larry isn't funny, just stupid, and dude neeeds to knock off the donuts, I'm suprised he could even get in a corvette.
Worst show ever, I want my hour back!
I'm either going to go cut my satellite cable or slash my wrists, not sure which!!

I was forced to watch the whole thing since they left the Vette factory for the last and it totally sucked. They wasted too much time about entering the paint shop and showed nothing about how the car is assembled. The best part was watching Grandma run through the gears in the Z, other than that a total waste of an hour.

I agree
I did enjoy the part with the test-drive lady. Man that job would be cool.
