I highly recommend them. Light weight, Easy installation and Awesome Protection. The UHMW type Material is extreemly durable. Your not going to wear them out. They sound alot better than steel when they slide across asphalt and cement. (Hardly a sound at all).
Definately a "Must Have", if your Vette is lowered!!
I also have "Fangs", in my lower radiator support. Another area where protection is required if you are lowered. The Fangs provide excellent protection and look like stock. I don't know about you but when I see other products with small weels in the front of the vette, they just look out of place.......
You can find the Fangs from forum member (Sac City Corvette). Just use the search function for Fangs

They work great. The UHMW type are quieter when they do scrape, but the aluminum are more durable. I've seen the Elite UHMW ones break before (only once). That being said, if you go with aluminum, find the cheapest decent ones you can find. Don't worry about the built in pucks. You can jack pretty much anywhere along the aluminum rail since it sits below the rocker panel. I know - I change my tires over 50 times / year on my race car, and I just choose a spot on the aluminum rail and go for it. Hasn't caused a problem in 8 years.

I agree, There was a club member that had the UHMW and they got a big slice in them and then they caught on something and they ripped.
I have them and love 'em. I have access to a 2 post lift and these make lifting the car soooo much less of a hassle. They also have come in handy at the track for jacking up the car real quick.
Im running at stock ride height so speed bumps are less of a concern
i love mine
mainly for when the jerk at the tire shop uses that lift that raises up from flush on the floor at hits right on the edge of both sides. saved my rockers panels big time
Thanks everyone for your responses, I look forward to putting these on, just need to find a place that will allow me to rent a lift so I can get the car up in the air for installation (I do not have ramps or stands)..

I installed mine in the driveway, Just had to jack it up about 10 inches. Very easy install.
