Got mine off today (the rest of the way off). First and only mod so far. Could not be happier with the results. Just wanted to share that I used 30lb test fishing line to "cut" through the adhesive. I was using too weak of a line for the first side, and kept breaking the line. Bought some heavier line, and used two pieces to cut through both sections of the BSM.
Just adding this because in all of my searches, I don't recall seeing what weight line was used. The hair dryer and some brutal "rubbing" of the remaining adhesive, and it looks like a whole new car.
2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C5 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
mine never had them and never will... imo c5's look so much better without them... some will argue about the aerodynamics part but who really drives their car to the point that it would become a factor
Looks great! IMHO the lines are much cleaner and more classic w/o the side molding. Having said that I've seen some really great looking vettes with the side molding. Once again it's all subjective and fortunately we're not all alike. Anyway, beautiful vette! Enjoy the new look.

98 C5, silver.
Why would you ruin a perfectly good c5 by doing that?
