Any way to run the passive lock system on a 2002 C5?

No, unless you find an aftermarket system with a passive feature.

Damn. I really like it on my buddies 93, and before I bought mine I didnt even think to look for it or research about the passive system.

Maybe you could buy the RFA, fobs and tpms from an older (97-99) that someone else is upgrading to newer sensors. Bear in mind that the fobs and tire sensors are a lot more expensive to replace than the newer ones, and unless the batteries have been replaced they're probably dying anyway. It doesn't make much financial sense to spend so much just to have your doors unlock before you push the button. You have to have the fob anyway, so just push the unlock before you get there. One of the annoying and dangerous features of the passive unlock is not knowing if you walked close enough or placed the key fob somewhere close enough to unlock your doors unknowingly.

I use the passive lock feature on my 99 FRC 100% of the time and have no complaints. I doubt it would be worth the effort to retrofit to a newer car. However I believe some have adapted the passive lock and push button start, now that to me would be worth the effort.
