Found my Vette!
Well, I'm the new owner of a 1997 C5 Corvette that I picked up today. I'm very excited about it!
On my 100 mile trip back home I was extremely impressed with the ride quality of the car. I was very comfortable and relaxed. Had the cruise control set, listening to the radio, and enjoying the drive. Brought back the old feeling of just enjoying the drive for recreation. Looking forward to many good drives and trips in the new (to me) ride!
Fuel gauge indicated 25 on the low side and high 30's on the high side, but it averaged probably in the high 20's to low 30's. I religously track fuel mileage on all my vehicles so I'll report back with hand calculated mileage soon.
I'm stoked!

I remember my ride home, 800 miles and I enjoyed everyone too. We do need detailed pics though!

I'm 7 - 14 days away from my 180 mile drive home in my first ever, new to me, Vette.
Time seems to be moving soooo slowly. Can't wait.
Congrats!!!

Congratulations and many miles of similes !
BTW, I'll post a picture of your car:
Need to get an exhaust or at least exhaust tips (try Corsa Hot Tips), the Early years (1997-2000) black, short, exhaust tips look terrible.

Here's another pic:
It has 98200 miles and is 100% stock. The interior is in great condition. Also, it's and automatic.

Congratulations on your new ride.
I have to say though that those wheels were not stock for 97. In my opinion the look nicer than the wagon wheel style though.
