Default problems with buckets after HID install

I installed hid low beams from corvettemods. when I turned them off the buckets will not go down. I even flickered the high beams and they still wont go down. I ordered the resistor but didnt install it. The install of it looks confusing cause it has a red and black wire coming off it with 2 tabs supplied. Has anyone had success doing this? Also would the install of the resistor fix my bucket issue. Thanks just looking to improve my beautiful ride

The purpose of the resistor is to avoid issues with the buckets opening and closing....so that's probably the solution to your problem.
Takes about 5 seconds to install the resistor, and all will be good once again.
You DO have to have the car running when you test the HID's,or the bulbs AND the buckets aren't going to work like they should.

You install the resistor in parallel with your headlight + - wires, does not matter which side.

You are trying to make the headlight system take more current by adding a resistor, thereby making the BCM think that you have standard halogens on.

Throw those away. No need to tap into your wiring.

We offer a plug n play one. http://www.shop.jwmotoring.com/produ...8&categoryId=4

Just note these are not in stock at the moment. I don't have an exact eta on them. We do have more in production though.

Fiicking the high-beams on won't do it.

You have to switch the lights to high beam - then shut them off while the high beams are on.

Resistors are less than perfect....

I can turn my HIDs on and off without the car running? Never had a problem...

This is the resistor that I have. 100% plug and play. Get this one for sure. Don't cut up your factory wires.

Thought you can get the buckets to go down by just pulling the two 10amp fuses, and replacing them with 20amp.
