I am going to put the Ti from my 02Z on my 99 A4 Coupe. I got the Left (drivers side) muffler off with no troubel. I can not get the right side to clear the transmission no matter which way I turn it. I noticed this side looks like the previous owner must have cut the pipe just behind the axel and welded it back together. Also both flanges look like they were cut off and welded back on. I had a hard time getting a socket to fit on the bolts because of the weld bead. Anyway is there a trick to getting the passenger side muffler out or should I just cut it as I don't plan on ever using them again, but if I cut it will I get the Ti in? Please Help!
yeah swaybar will have to be disconnected and folded down.. and you'll have to have the car up about 36 inches to make the turn if you intend on getting that off in one piece.
Well I want to thank everyone for their replys I got the exhaust off buy taking the passenger side fuel tank heat shield off, once I did that it came right off. The service manual should mention that. Wish I had seen your post earlier Vetman Jack, lol thanks though. I have a kwik lift, and let me tell you what a garet tool that is So now the Ti's are on the 99 coupe. finally! lmao
