Default Exhaust Preference

I am trying to decide what new exhaust system to put on my 99 and I need some help. I want something that will be pretty deep sounding and get loud when you give it some gas. Overall the goal is just to get it to sound powerful. I'm thinking of just doing cat-back. Thanks for the help!

I went with the Magna-Flow 16732.I am very happy with that. Good luck!

Thousands of posts and opinions on this-try searching on it. Best bang for the buck is a Titanium take-off of a Z06.

I would highly recommend a Corsa Pace Car system. Nice sound at idle, great sound when you give it the gas and no drone or popping when you're cruising.

TSP long tubes into a zo6 titanium, mellow at idle with a nice tone when you get on it. not obnoxiously loud like an open muffle dragster and no drone

I have the Magnaflow system p/n 15713 on my Corvette for 6 years now. It is noticeably louder than stock with a much deeper tone and nice throaty rumble. Really sounds great while shifting through the gears. With the Magnaflow system you do not get that motor boat sound that the stock exhaust and many of the other after market exhaust systems produce. I have had several different exhaust systems and the Magnaflow is my favorite.
Great looking large 4" polished tips with polished mufflers and polished pipes and a built in exhaust plate that keeps the tips perfectly aligned. Very nice quality and nice fitting exhaust.

Either one. Corsa will be louder than Ti but also much heavier. If you decide on Z06 Ti and it's not loud enough have a Ti welding expert do the by-pass surgery on the catbacks for WOT times. Ti usd will be most cost-effective I agree.

Then if either is not loud enough for you, add LG long tube headers and X-pipe. I tried Ti w/by-pass mod, and then Corsa, with LG long tubes in place on both.

Went back to Ti on the Z cause it was too tempting to get into it all the time which meant serious trouble with the law sooner or later.

Can't speak for other exhaust systems.

I'd go to Vette shows and see what's being used. Ask Q's and maybe they will crank theirs up for you to hear.

The classic muscle car sound of the GHL Bullets has long been considered the quintessential C5 Corvette exhaust system. Only the highest quality mandrel bent 304 stainless steel is used to manufacture all of our exhaust systems. The Bullets feature quad 4" tips that make your exhaust look as good as it sounds. The Corvette Bullet exhaust utilizes GHL's innovative Thru-Flow design which allows your Corvette breath, yet produces no drone or cabin resonance, making it the perfect system for either a boulevard cruise or a weekend at the track.

I love my Bullets too. I guess some folks just can't wear big boy pants because they complain the Bullets are too loud and they over exaggerate the "drone" issue.
