i recently purchased a 2003 and with basic delco radio cd player. i would like to change to the bose unit and 12cd changer or alternative. any suggestions anyone. thanks
I have no complaints about the Bose system. It is as mediocre as any factory system. I hear a lot of complaints but unless you are going to sit and listen to it in the garage with no ambient sound, then to me there is no need to spend megabucks on a system. I also don't need pieces of the car to vibrate off to think I have a quality system. I am not familiiar with the C5 system, but the C4 had an amp for each speaker for the Bose system.
You probably want to talk to Dennis at DDmods and end up with this sweet setup. He will hook you up for as little or as much as you want to spend on a system.
Dennis is doing my vette on Friday so I'll have a Bose CD/radio & 12 disc changer for sale. They are coming out of a 2004 with 16k so couldn't have been used too much. $350 shipped.

Do you mind me asking where you got the screen saver on your head unit??

Not all C5's came with Bose. Bose is a "system". A head unit, an amplifier mounted under the dash, amplifiers built into the door speakers, etc. If I owned one with the non-Bose system, I don't think I'd pay to get it installed. You can install a nicer head unit and speakers cheaper and get better quality.
