One product that I have had success with is an aerosol foam spray made by Simoniz called Tuff Stuff. You can find it at Wally or any automotive store. It removes just about everything and it's cheap (about 3 bucks a can).

You must use GM stain remover that meets C5 specifications as per your owner's manual...
But I just use 409 carpet stain remover.

Never rub always blot. Rubbing will push the stain in to the fibers deeper.

use this, spray let it set a few minutes remove with a clean cloth, repeat if needed. Stuff works really well.

On my winter beater every year, I use laundry detergent with some warm water to get out the dirt and salt stains on my floor at and carpet.

I used a product called Folex. It works great. I bought it at a Ace hardware. But i believe Lowes or home depot has it.

I've had good results with Woolite Heavy Traffic carpet cleaner. It comes in a spray can.

I too am a big fan of Tuff Stuff. I usually then follow with the Little Green Stem Machine with just water to pull out all of the cleaner.

My first experience with Tuff Stuff was probably about 25 years ago. I had purchased a used pickup and the PO had been a smoker. The smell was in everything and the white vinyl headliner and sun visors were stained yellow. I was amazed by the Tuff Stuff. I'd spray it on the vinyl and after a few seconds the white foam would change to a light brown color. I went through one can of Tuff Stuff and about 3 rolls of paper towels but when I was done the interior of that truck sparkled and no longer smelled like an ashtray.

I've found a few other uses for it. I keep a can in my boat for general interior cleanup. It does a great job on cleaning leather topsider shoes. It also does a good job of cleaning microfiber covered furniture.
