Well I saw that my Skip Shift solenoid is leaking. The leak seems to be coming from the last portion of the assembly (where the metal meets the plastic and then the wire harness).
I read that an o-ring can be replaced. Does anyone know where the o-ring goes (in relation to the assembly), what size it is, and where to get one???
If not, where can I get a new skip shift solenoid for less than the $170 the dealer wants?
That's not a bad idea if I can find the exact same size of something to put in it's place. Any ideas on how to get that?
Also, if I plug it, what happess to the wiring if it's not connected to anything? (It's currently bi-passed already. CAGS installed but not active)

When you say it is already bypassed, is there a CAGS resistor kit already connected to the wiring so you do not get a warning light?
If so, I would just go to a plumbing supply house that sell brass pipe fittings and match the size to the solenoid.
Yes it's already bypassed. I'm gonna squeeze my happy *** under the car...again, and check it ONE MORE TIME to be sure before I do that.
Again, what am I gonna do with the wires resistor when I take it out? Just unplug it and tie the wires up somewhere?
Thanks
Yeah I have that already done. My questions is... if I take the actual solenoid out and plug the whole in the trans, can I just leave the wires connected to nothing since the solenoid will be gone?
If you already have the bypass installed, then there should not be any wires going to the solenoid.
When you bypass the solenoid, you disconnect the wiring harness connector, and connect it to the solenoid simulator resistor.
The kits also have a cap to put on the solenoid just so dirt and water do not get into the connection, but there are no wires going to it..
Have you bypassed the solenoid by reprogramming, or some other method than disconnecting the solenoid and connecting a resistor to the harness?

Well if I recall, I saw wires still connected but my CAGS never comes on. Bare in mind the car is built (by former owner) and I assume their is a bypass somehow. But ok, I think I have a good idea of what to do now.
Thanks!
