Hey my fellow Vette brothers
Listen guys as u can c here I'm new and some of u guys are now smashing on me for a post that I put on here because of a post that I had read from another member
The member had asked a simple question about his rims some of the guys just smashed the poor dude that's what prompted me to post the Chevy owners post that I did Jesus guys we all have a Vette and yes we all have different styles and opinions as to what may look good... What if that other member could not afford to buy what some of us can... I understand all to well now you guys are smashing me and my car I don't care what anyone thinks of my investment it's mine
Let's try and take it easy on some of our brothers out there I'm not asking anyone's advise on my Car....
By the way how many of you'll are going to make it to Texas for the corvette gathering at the Speedway

James -

BTW, welcome to the forum. We are all good guys here -- well with the exception of (insert names here )....some of us have just seen some folks completely ruin the car with some of their so called styling modificatitions.....yes, I know, "It's their car and they can do what thet want"....but when you ask an opinion be prepared to hear some folks that go with the flow and others that throw the WTF flag. I for one get embarrased when I see another C5 with so much AutoZone and JC whitney cr@p on them because people with me ask if that is the status quo for Corvettes.

This forum is top notch, run by good moderators and is a HUGE information tool for Corvette owners, we all have to be a little thick skinned for some harsh, albeit thruthful responses......this is the computer age, we can tell a woman her butt looks big on a forum but you'd NEVER say that to her face!

I agree - if someone asks for an opinion, they had better be prepared to take the bad with the good. Could some of the members here be more tactful - sure, but whatever you do to your car won't please everyone and there are many here that are not afraid to give a very pointed response.

James, dude, we're beating a dead horse here. These discussions have been going on long before you got here. You know that there are azzwipes everywhere. As I said in your previous post, JUST SHINE THEM ON!

With all due respect to the OP - didn't we recently go down this path?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...vy-owners.html

My suggestion to you my friend is that you remember that this is an internet forum, and there are members that seem to live to bash others. You need to get thicker skin and stop worrying about what others say and think. If you can't enjoy your time here, and learn some things along the way, you'll be unhappy here. Good luck......

I agree. And as a forum 'veteran' I know that preaching, whether justified or not, rarely goes over well and usually brings out more colorful commentary.

I took your side in your last thread. Now you are becoming them. Chill out. Most of the guys here don't deserve this. The ones that do, don't care what you think of them!

You may want to think about how you could fit in a little better. Calling some people, or the entire forum out is probably not the best approach.

James

Don't worry about what people say in here.. Some of these guys have no mind of their own. If one of the senior members start to blast you it will become like the Ronnie King and the LA beatings.. I was band once for disagreeing with a member and wrote him a private message. You really cant take it to heart... There are some jerks here and there are some really good people here. Just take it for what it is..

James, you will find some jerks here, sometimes tough to ignore. Then there are the SCARY guys like Blitzkrieg. To communicate on this forum, I assume you are using a keyboard. Using 'cell phone text' language is a bit off-putting. There are plenty other hammer swingers here too.

No offense intended to the OP or carpenters in general but, that quote sounds like a lead in for another bad country song.

1. I think if you accept the fact that you get beat IN and you get beat OUT, the time in the middle is more enjoyable.

2. Remember that this is a WORLD WIDE WEB and you will not teach anyone a lesson that they don't want to learn.

3. Unless you are telling everyone the world is round, you will get opposing opinions. CHAS may argue the "round" thing but that's because it looks different from his planet.

Welcome to the forum...sign off when you feel like lashing out. it is the better path.
