Usually when the sensor goes bad it will constatly read something like 55* or 65* without changing.
What are your symptoms? No display at all ? or wrong temp? etc...

If the display is working but dim, you will need this, or just send it off for repair. Easy DIY though if your a good with solder.

If your outside temperature is incorrect, you need to replace the sensor (about $10-$15) at your local Chevy parts store. Below shows where it is located:
If your HVAC display went out, then corvettezman (and Toque...
