Hey everyone, just joined up and would like to say HI...
I have a few ?s im looking at a 04 QS Z. Has 49k on it and all stock , pretty flawless, except alittle wear on drivers seat... They are asking 23.9k what should i offer them....
Also is there a warrenty place kinda like the GMPP for our older cars for some peace of mind.. Thanks for your time...
Hi! Congrats on your potential Z! I have an '01... I bought it in 2006 for 22k. It had 34,000 miles on it. BUT it's an '01. I don't have HUD.. Ya know things like that are important to some people.. I myself wished I had searched the forum for sale section for one that was already Built up and supercharged. I'd just look around at comps like you are buying a house and find a number that feels good and you are comfortable with.. Maybe someone will chime in with some actual numbers for you.. Good luck and I'm excited for you! I flew to Jersey from KcMo for mine
I think it's a little on the high side, but if it's the car for you then by all means don't let it get away. You will always hear of cheaper prices but many have paid around that price to get the car they really like. These are really fun cars, I'm sure you will enjoy.
It may be a touch high, but not outrageous. See if there is some room for negotiation. As others have said, if the car is in great condition and its everything you want then its just a matter of if its worth it to you. Don't go another 6 months without one because the price was off a mere 5%.
For reference I paid that for my 03 Z with 26k on it a year and a half ago.
I paid $21K for mine last summer with 40K miles. I would think silver would be a color in less high demand. It is a cool color, but I suspect most Z06 owners prefer a higher impact color or black.
I just paid 20k for my 2002 Z06 with 42k miles on it four weeks ago and it is in showroom condition inside, outside and underneath. I love this car and everything works on it. A 65 yrs old man (the original owner) owned it and when I drove out to see it I laid 20k on the dashboard cash money all in 100 dollar bills (2 stacks). He could not resist the money. He was asking 23k. He said if I would of just offered him 20k without showing him any money, he would of said no, but when he saw the money on the dash board, he could not say no. The power of money will do the talking for you. I did'nt have to say anything. I thought for sure that I was not going to drive that car home that day. I could'nt believe he said yes to the deal.
Thanks for all the responses... If i had 20k cash id do that but only half that for a DP ...
Yeah ill see if i can get them down to 21-22 and hold firm.. Im not dead set on silver but being spring the Corvettes are getting hard to find.... Thanks Again
