Default Underhood LED Lighting

I would like to add some under the hood lighting and I was thinking about some led strips to light up the fuel rail covers and headers. I have seen these at cruise nights last summer and they really accent the engine bay at night. I would like to tie them into the cove lights to so they can run on the same light patern as the cove lights. I would also like to hide them under the fuel rail covers so they are hidden and really just make the area glow. Obviosly I am worried about the heat and install. Has anyone done this and have any tips on what kind to buy and how to install, and pics?

Talk with JW Motoring about your needs. He may be able to set you up with an awesome set of LEDs.

I've got them. No issues.

I just don't have them under the fuel rail covers.

RadioFlyer did all my installs, so he's the right guy to talk to.

Here's a video of the engine compartment.

I have two spotlights that shine up at the hood.

Then I have 4 led's on the underside of the cowl shooting into the engine (kind of light up the top side of the fuel rail covers). I have two led's under the edge of the nose lighting up the intake area. Then I have one led zip tied to the brake booster (under my carbon cover) to light up the headers and another under the edge of the washer tank. One the passenger side, I have one under the coolant tank and one under the battery compartment. Combined, all of these lights kind of give a glow to the engine bay.

Let me know if you have more questions. I tried to search through here before I did my install and didn't find a lot of answers.

Also, since I've done this install (a couple of years ago), I've seen more people go with the million color type of lights and put long strips under the cowl or on the sides of the engine bay. It all depends on what look you are going for.

Awesome. I remember seeing this a while back and your car is awesome, that is the look I am going for. Just want to make the engine kind of glow centered around the fuel rail covers and headers. I have the little led in the hood lamp but that hardly does anything for the engine bay. I will check with radio flyer for more info. Thanks.

That be me.... My custom blue paint job that's nearly Electron Blue... Till the sun hits it!

Let me know if you have more questions on the LEDs. Happy to answer.

Oh, definitely think through where you want the switches. I had a custom made panel for all my lights. I had to cut out the ash try, but it looks pretty slick.

I wasn't a fan of the switches hidden in the console or on the traction control plate....
