Slp powerflo vs ti
I am going to buy one or the other for my 03 AE vert.
Please give me the pluses and minuses of each if you've had experience with either.
Thanks

I agree but the guys around here want almost as much as a new exhaust would cost. I love the SLP tips but prefer the ZO6 sound.

Find someone local to listen to them, they are VERY different sounding. Powerflo is fairly loud and will drone some, Ti doesn't really sound much different than stock. If you are shopping for used they should both be about the same price ~ $300-500

I've had Borlas, which are basically the same as SLP 's. Now I have a set of modded Ti's and love them. Ti's aren't very loud at idle or cruising speeds but they sound really good when rowing through the gears or at WIT !! I can't wait to get my headers on which should make them just a little bit louder.

Hey there,
I've got an '01 Z06 with headers/catless/SLP Powerflo.
I used to have the Tis.
Ti:
1) Cheaper
2) Lighter
3) No drone
4) Raspier, nice WOT sound though.
5) Quieter at Idle and Cruise
6) No bass
7) Looks stock
SLP Powerflo:
1) Not as cheap as used Ti, but not expensive either
2) Pretty light except for the giant cast tip
3) Some drone at 1500 and 2500 (possibly 3500 but by then..)
4) Deeper bass, louder at idle and cruise. Sometimes startles people on startup. Nice WOT. Very manly sounding..lol
5) Tips are the best design IMO. Don't see many of them. People notice and like it.
Conclusion:
I would go for the SLP Powerflos. I love this exhaust minus the drone at those RPMs. A partition helps quite a bit. They get attention idling and cruising/putting around town which the Tis don't because they have to be WOT to really be heard (or above 3500).
Alternate: You COULD get a set of modded Tis, and then custom fab an SLP tip onto it..I know the Ti is titanium but you can use clamps instead of welding. It's an idea anyways..someone is on the forum selling a tip for $150ish. Personally I like the sound of the SLP mufflers..

Do a search for the bypass mod on ti's on youtube... you'll get a lot of views.

I just got my slp power Flo. Still need to install it. Love the tips. I really wanted borla but when I saw they are pretty much the same thing. For half the price and better tips. Ti was my 2nd choice
