Default Suspension

Well, I am off to Ghana next week for a couple of weeks to a month on business, so I was going to leave the car at home for my brother to do a little bit of work on. (Paint calipers, replace turn signal bulb, possibly paint rims)

I was wondering what is the best place to get the C6 GS Sways and C6 Z06 shocks?

Is this the best bang for your buck suspension wise?

I don't really care to spend the money on coil overs, just want something cheaper and more simple, and to make it handle better.

A great simple package would be our Johnny O'Connell Stage 1. It includes shocks, sway bars, sway bar bushings and endlinks, all for one affordable price. All of the tuning and matching of sway bars to shocks has been done with the help with professional GM Race car driver Johnny O"Connell by our engineers, so there is minimal tuning required. We really designed the package for the street user who may track the car occasionally, but really just wants improved handling with minimal impact to ride quality.

The entire package will ride a little sportier than the OEM shocks, but will be considerably smoother over rough road surface than the C6 Z06 shocks that many folks replace their worn C5 shocks with.

Overall we really love how the entire package came out, and it's typically what we run on our Corvettes when we aren't doing any kind of development with them. If you're looking for an easy one stop upgrade path for improved ride quality and more confident handling, make sure to check out the Johnny O'Connell Stage 1 package.

That's a little out of the budget for right now, I may have to wait if I want to do that package.

If you want to go with GM parts, contact Gene at gmpartshouse.com. They have very good prices on all their parts.

I did the C6Z sways and springs with Koni FSD shocks and it was very good, but I ended up with PFADT Coil Overs as I wanted to have even a better ride, oh I also did all the poly bushing for the entire suspension and that was well worth the $$

Do a WTB in the C6 parts on the springs and see what you come up with.

I got the Bars from Gene, but went with Bilstien sports. I'd wait and see how you like it at that point before springs. Just My .02
