Purchased a 04 c5 vert last year and after a few exterior additions and new wheels looking to add a few under the hood items as well. I thought I might start with a stainless plenum cover then maybe fuel rails later on. My question is how is the plenum cover installed and is it a problem after a while with rattles or other issues. I like the solid vs the perforated cover. How about issues with the fuel rail covers as well? Any forum vendors to purchase from also. Thank You. Dennis.
I have the polished solid ss plenum cover and matching polished ss inner fender covers. The plenum cover is held by one screw through the cowl in an existing opening and velcro. The fender covers are held by velcro. No noticeable rattles or shaking but heat will soften the adhesive of the velcro so don't try to remove pieces for any reason until it is completely cooled down under the hood.
