Default Windshield washers spraying fluid, won't stop..

Washed the Z06 today, went to put inside and the wipers wouldn't shut off and the washer fluid kept spraying. The button at the end of the stalk is pushed in, then came off. Any one know what happened? I never have once used the wipers or the washer fluid(sunny day car). Is there a spring inside? Anyone have a drawing?

Thanks

2 little springs inside. Don't need both but at least one to make functional. I pulled the fuse when mine popped out until I found the springs.

I apologize in advance, but I'm a very visual thinker and the thought of this happening just made me laugh pretty loud.

Don't mean to laugh at your misfortune . . . but it sounds hilarious.

I have the same issue right now. If you do a search, it does happen. The easy fix is to put a bit of super glue on the spring to keep it from coming off again. If you loose the spring, it so happens that the spring out of a disposable lighter is a direct replacement.
