Corvette Class Win at Sears Point
A GS-R driven by Johnny O'Connell won another GS-class victory today at Sears Point, third overall. Pictures of the team cars during pre-race preparation are posted in Autocrossing and RoadRacing. The second-place GS car was also a Corvette GS-R. The thing that interesting about GM's Corvette racing program is that it's now gotten to the point that winning is becoming routine, almost expected. The television coverage on the Speed Channel mentioned that the two Sears Point cars are the newest chassis built; the two older cars are already in France being prepped for the Le Mans 24-Hours.
