If I go out in the morning car starts right up, turn off the key , it will restart just fine. Let it run till It reaches 185* - 195* it shuts down and will not start for hours......The only codes I am pulling are 28-TCS U1016H and 58-SCM U1016 H . Any ideas.... Thanks for reading
Your not going to easily find this on your own. You'll have to get a decent scanner to see what the sensors are reading as well as some other things (like a fuel pressure guage) to see what's going away. I'm gussing this happens when the car goes from open loop mode to closed loop as it warms up. It would be interesting to know what the coolant temp. sensor is sending. You sure those are the ONLY 2 codes your getting?

Last night cleared all codes , car started right up, ran for an hour.then I shut it down , and tried to start it . It would just turn over. this when on for a few hours. check for codes nothing..... Then it started, I let it run 30-45 min. shut it down check the codes now I have a PO 0335 "crankshaft position sensor circuit" . Cleared code. tried to start, came right up, let it run, 30-45min. I shut it down starts rigth up Now no codes ... tried to start 25 times , comes right up ....still affraid to take it out on the road...
That would explain thing, I've had a few GM's die this way. The Crank Sensor had to get bad enough to throw codes before you could track it down without a data capturing scanner.
