Default Question about various steering wheel hub adapters and cosmetics

First off, I want to get a Momo wheel. I've done quite a bit of reading on here and realize that I'll need a hub adapter, either a quick release or spacers, and an airbag bypass harness (or build one). I've seen the ATI hub adapters, and while they look nice, I don't want to shell out $300 for one, nor do I want to trim the column bezel to make it fit. Who has aftermarket wheels on their cars that wouldn't mind showing a side shot of how the hub looks and how it interfaces with the steering column.

Sorry I can't help on a custom wheel application. There is one thing that you need to consider with swapping out to a NO airbag wheel. Does your state have safety inspection requirements ? I live in Virginia and our inspection specifically checks the air bag system. NO bag = NO safety sticker = NO drive on street. Investigate before you make the change.

No safety nannies in Nebraska. I checked with Hagerty, and they also have no problem with me removing the airbag. I figure I didn't own a vehicle with airbags until 2005 and I'm still alive to talk about it...

Bought this Momo/Nardi hub replica for 30 dollars:

Installed Nardi wheel with Nardi to Momo adapter(to push wheel out further, hub has both bolt patterns).
To turn off the Airbag all you need is a 2ohm resistor. I didn't even bother as the airbag light is not very intrusive.
I didn't cut anything however I would recommend you rent a steering wheel puller and purchase the following puller arms(only $5 on ebay):

Final result:

That looks nice. Did you have to modify the plastic on the column shroud at all? Is the steering wheel roughly in the stock position now?

No modification necessary and with the Nardi to Momo adapter the position is practically the same as stock.

I'm guessing you went with the 30mm adapter, as that's the only one I'm seeing, correct?

Actually, I didn't buy the adapter from that site. The adapter came free with my steering wheel which I bought here:

http://www.jhpusa.com/

This was by far the cheapest deal I could find on my Nardi wheel as they were on sale at the time and included an adapter. Not sure if that's still going on.

Since you want to go with a Momo wheel, that adapter wouldn't work anyways as it only allows you to bolt a Nardi wheel to a Momo hub.
This adapter will allow you to do either(Momo wheel to Nardi hub,Nardi wheel to Momo hub):
