Default It's ALIVE !!!!!!!!

Got the itch today to install the battery and a few gallons of 93 octane
in the 03. It's still on jackstands as I removed the BBK shorties and the
factory 4 cat headpipes. My new XS power longtubes with X-pipe and
high flow cats (full 3") sounded sooo sweet on fire. The oil pressure rose
to 55psi and after it warmed up I rapped the loud pedal a few times till
the wife came out in the garage to say "seriously ???" I said O hell yes!!
She especially loved Eminem's 02 release "Without me" bumpin' on the
speakers after I shut her down. Can't help the fact that this car makes
me feel like a little kid with a new bike.
No check engine lights came on so I wonder if I'll need a retune to
compensate for the LTs. Probably a few ponies to be had by correcting
the air/fuel ratio...guess I'll run her and evaluate funds this summer.
Perhaps just to know the improvement, I had 365 rw before with an
EPS 218/226. I'm tellin' you....No-one can tell there is a cam in this car.
Absolute sleeper....LOVE IT....

Hard to say a Vette is a sleeper, but sounds like you have done some really good mods to the car.

Congrats! You won't be fooling anyone with a full exhaust long tube header set up.

I think these LS1s ran mid 13s when stock by most average drivers....
so by sleeper I mean still a smooth idle and able to give a 6.2 LS3 all it
can handle. I actually wanted an Atomic Orange 09 w/ competition gray
wheels but couldn't swallow the mid fifties payment. I home ported my
241s, milled em' .030, and upgraded with hollow LS6 valves and Lunati
dual gold springs in hopes to run low 12s and still knock down 30 mpgs.
These cars seem to be economy hot rods if driven easy.

The car had a Corsa axle-back on it when I purchased it which sounds
terrific, and the long tubes did make it a bit louder, however this tiny
little cam is totally smooth at 800 rpms. Most uninformed enemies will
think I'm in mid-life crisis form with my chrome exhaust tips.

It did go 12.29 @ 116.7 last fall with only a 1.83 sixty foot. Didn't want
to risk leaving the axle assembly on the starting .

Yeah,,I didn't actually word that well. I meant that basically stock I dipped to the really low 13's and your package should blow well into the 12's,,,which you already have,,so you might be getting close to 11's now!! Good luck and have fun!!!
