Default Sequential tail lights ?

I bought a set of these sequential harnesses for my 2003 rear turn signals. Of course on had a broken wire in it so I need to wait for a replacement. But I was wondering if anyone else has installed these? And they come two to a pack, is that only for one side or do I need to buy four of that four rear tail lights ? Just wondering how the two lights are going to light in sequential order if only one light on each side is equipped with this sequential harness ? They both take a 3057 bulb on all four rear taillights. Thank You !

You only need two. One for each outside light. The two light closest to the center of bumper does not get them. The inside lights up first and the outer one has a slight delay.

Thank you Ghost Vette. The more I tried to understand how the two are going to follow in order of each other confused me, and of course the one side had a broken wire contact so now I have to wait for Mid-America to send me a new set. I called just after noon here in Pennsylvania and the guy at the sales desk was very friendly and I asked about the time as I'm going into the Hospital for a back operation next week and he said it' wouldn't be more than a couple of days. Maybe three, but they'd be here before I lock up the Corvette till I can sit down in it again.

Thanks for the information.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for them? I have been eying a set of them myself but from a different vendor.

I found the exact same product at another website for $30.00 less, not a supporting vendor.

I paid $124.99 from Mid-America but I have seen them for about $5 cheaper., I had to call in for a replacement it had a broken contact. But Mid-America customer service is sending out a new set ASAP. They always take good care of me.

I still don't understand how one light flashes if the other one in on steady ? I thought the device made both lights flash on and off.

Hey, best luck with the back surgery... Regarding the sequential lights...I have a hard time understanding the sequential nature of just two lights. If the car had three, then it would look sequential. With just two, it looks odd...more like an alternating appearance...almost like a strobe light.

I have found this set up for $99 shipped. The way it works as I understand it is that the harness delays the outside light for a second after the lights are activated. So the inside light lights up and a second or so later the outside light gets power. It gives the appearance that they are sequential.

But doesn't the inside light stay on ? Or does it flash normally ? I mean I've never stood behind my Vette while the turn signals are on, Once I get the replacement I guess I'll understand then / But I just don't understand it right now, but I believe you. While I have the rear lights out I decided to install the third brake light pulsar harness, and that does work just as they say it will, I replaced the stock 3057 with the Sylvania Silver-Star 3057ST premium light bulbs. I'm doing this little projects now, Come next Monday I'll be missing some of my back vertebrata ! Doc's doesn't know when I'll be able to drive again.

Both lights flash at the same time normally. The one harness you have should work... have you tried it? When you connect the harness both right (or left) tails will get power to light, but the outside one will get delayed a second or so from the inline harness. See this video. This guy has his 4-ways on but you can see what I mean...

I bought mine for my C5, & C6, from Webelectric.com along with the center brake light flasher. Think they're a bit cheaper and have a lifetime warranty which is nice. I had one side stop working on my C5 after a couple years and he just told me to send it back and gave me a new one with no hassle at all.

Na, the one side has a broken contact wire and MA is sending a whole new set. But I'm going to call them tomorrow morning and see I can pay the the $20.00 to 2 day ship to me. I don't want to wait and wind up on the operating table and they still haven't got here. Frustrating .

Mine came from Webelectrics as well. Flawless over the past 7 years now.

That's all it does is slightly delay the outer one lighting. I'd say by half a second. The inner blinks at the normal rate. The outer goes out normal but lights slower. Even the emergency flashers delay the outer. I bought mine on ebay years ago for 119. but had a 10% coupon.

I got mine from DD mods and they work flawlessly, true plug and play, jusk make sure you get the proper seal to prevent water from entering sockets...Its all in the instruction booklet provided by them...I think they look better when you apply the brakes vs. the turn signals...I am going to search the forums on how to slow the turn signals down even father...they do sequence pretty fast... Dont get me wrong I do love them and wont ever take them off..
