Hi guys, I'm trying to get stripes painted on my C5. My bodyshop guy said it would be a lot easier if I could get rough measurements for him. Could someone with stripes measure the following spots for me? Thanks!
Although this is a simple task for someone who has the CE Stripes already, it might just be easiest to order a set and have exact measurements and then just resell the stripes. (Try and order a common set)
If your paint shop guy is "GOOD" he shouldn't need measurements. Go with the lines of the hood, roof, and rear deck.
I designed my own...... This is what the rear deck would look like for my personal design. However, I went with the C5-R look:
I live in a small town so I pretty much just have one bodyshop to choose from. He does good work but he asked for measurements. Sure I could guess but I'd like to get as close as possible to the original stripes... If anyone with the CE stripes could help out I'd appreciate it!
Just some ideas I tossed around for hood stripes. Keep in mind, these are NOT according to scale or dimensions. Just an idea..... Good luck with the CE Stripes project.

Always have liked the looks of the CE stripes. Good luck getting a set painted on your car. One suggestion though - consider the vinyl ones - rock chips are a real PITA with painted stripes (I speak from experience on my '00) and with vinyl, you can just peel and replace the vinyl material should a chip occur.

I strongly agree with this, I had a set from vette stripes .com about $250.00 bucks had them for 2 years got a new tigershark hood and didnt feel like custom making new hood stripes so i removed them, took me 15 min. to remove. Viynl gives you options down the road JMO
