99 c5 p0440 code

what should i be looking for? I put a new fuel filter on and a new gas cap and the light is still coming on. Is there any common problem to look for? thanks in advance
hopefully i get all these bugs worked out so i can enjoy this car, lol

EVAP system has a leak somewhere. (charcoal canister or evap solenoid under the hood.

we hooked it up to a tech 2 today and can not get it to build up any pressure and we alos tried to do a smoke test. The technician seems to think there may be a restriction somwhere.. Any ideas where to look before we tear the car apart to find the problem?

start by doing a search for "p0440" before you start pulling the car apart. its a common code and, as far as I know, represents no immediate disaster.

Yea. I need to put a right rear quarter on it and from what I can see is the canister is behind that panel. Maybe when it got hit in the quarter it disturbed something back there?
