um slight misunderstanding here. The member you quoted never said the OP shouldn't do what he did or that his idea/theme was ill-conceived, simply stated the he doesn't understand the fascination with all black everything.

aw heck...go all out...DIP the emblems...POWDER COAT the rotors & calipers...TOTALLY TINT the front windshield (install a camera with a screen inside for a view)...AND ONLY...and i say ONLY drive it at night...without headlights...unless they are also black...okay...i'll stop now...lol

Just wondering here -- IF GM did produce a lowered all black Corvette including the windows would owners mod the car and put red/amber lenses, "un-tint" the windows, raise it up a few notches?
I do have to laugh at all the "youngsters" that do the EXACT same mods on their cars regardless of make...doesn't matter if they have a Vette, A Ford F-150, or a Honda Civic.....They are (in order)
1. Black out the tail lights
2. Black out the head lights
3. Dark tint the windows
4. Put some exhaust on it
5. Put some aftermarket rims on it
6. Lower it
I'm convinced that these mods cause pimples and acne.

This forum has been great to me but some people on here just crack me up like CatCam. Guess he wants everyone to have a bone stock car and be 85 years old driving in the right lane. Its his car let him do what he wants to it, not saying everyone will agree or like it. Personally I like black wheels but with a chrome lip. I'm not completely on the black band wagon as some would call it. My truck is a 2010 GMC black with chrome wheels, I just feel like black C5's look good with black wheels but that IMO. Old people think these cars are just for cruising around and should never be driven hard. Believe it or not there still car people out there that love this hobby and want to mod there vehicles rather you like it or not. Just because your old and arn't really into the modding scene doesnt mean everyone is that way.

and I resisted it ONLY because of being able to see backing up. Ill get really bright reverse lights and knock those out lol
