DTE - wtf???
I have a brace on my mn6 2000 coupe that was installed by RPM Transmissions for the previous owner along with 4.10 gears. A few months ago, one of the struts vibrated loose and fell off on a long trip. I've emailed DTE a couple of times, talked on the phone with them 3 times now (They returned the first email with a phone call quickly the first time. the second, in which I sent pictures they asked for, I had to call them after hearing nothing for the next couple weeks).
The last two phone calls, They committed to check and see what they had on hand and could do for me and to call me back. It's been a month or more now since the last call. (Work has been busy and I haven't had time to mess around with this during working hours).
I either need to find a way to replace the part or remove the rest of the brace. After waiting so long, I don't really feel like paying for a new strut and I damn sure don't feel like buying a whole new assembly to replace the missing strut.
Anyone have any suggestions other than to try calling again or taking the remaining brace off and trashing it?
Thanks for any suggestions you might have...
Get an ECS (East Coast Supercharging) trans/differential brace, install it & then forget that it's on there.
Sorry if that's not what you want to hear.
Good luck.
