Default 10 year vs 100k service

My 02 Z has just hit the 10 year mark. It has 37k miles

Should I replace the plugs now vs 100k?

Thanks

I probably would do it, just for peace of mind...Plugs are not a big deal on these cars, plenty of room, a lot more than f-body!

I have read that you should change them every so often ( time frame = ??? ) so the threads don't seize up with the heads ?

You might consider plug wires as well, they could be fairly brittle and fall apart when you pull them off.

10 years / 37k miles? If it were me, then yes, I'd replace the plugs and wires.

I would also take care of any of these routine maintenance items that haven't already been done:
- change trans and diff fluids
- flush coolant system, brakes, and clutch
- clean air filter

...but that's just me.

I'm in the same boat with my 02 Z06 with 42k. I'm gonna replace my plugs with NGK copper TR55 VPower. What will you be using?

+1 ... the chances of getting the original spark plug wires off without damaging at least a few is very high.
