Hello again all, I can finally come out of lurk mode! Last year, about the time I was about to purchase an 01Z, I got laid off! I finally got back into a good paying tech job, and after a year of lurking, saving, scrounging, drooling and dreaming I'm taking delivery of my Black/Black Z06 tomorrow!
It has a gouge on the drivers side rocker panel (from delivery, I assume) which is why it isn't in my garage right now!!! ARGH! :mad
No one will ever see it, but it still bothered me enough to complain and demand repair.
First question: Does Zaino take out little surface scratches? Nothing major, and only someone **** about black like me would probably notice. I noticed them on EVERY black car I looked at in DFW, seems hard to avoid????
I told them NOT to buff the car. I hope and pray that there will not be any swirl marks when I get there tomorrow!!!! :mad :mad
If so, I'll probably have a heart attack and die right on the spot after all the haggling I had to do to get the deal I could afford.
Good luck with your delivery, we all know how you feel. I just got my car about 3 weeks ago...all I can say is you are in for a treat! The hard part is waiting for that 500 mile break in period to pass so you can really feel the power of this machine...unreal!
Well shoot! I left that swirled up, overpriced Z sitting right on the lot. The darn financial snakes tried to rope me into a really expensive lease, not to mention stealing my trade right out from under me. They told me that they would beat any deal (4k off), and have totally wasted my time with a 2k off deal working on a "good monthly payment". My first mistake: NEVER talk monthly payment until you see all the numbers. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
Also, how is it that dealerships can damage a Corvette and then tell me that they really take care of their customers? If they can't take care of a 50k car, how can they take care of their customers? People are much more sensitive than cars.
I really don't see leasing a car that holds its value in my future. The test drive was enough to make me fall in love with the car and want to keep it, pay it off, and start my supercar stable. Not that I really needed a test drive! :D
Thanks all, I'm still working on it! Black (maybe QS) Z soon!
