Very low mileage find, but it has been pretty much sitting for 10 years. I really doubt I would pay $35K for it - heck, that's C6 territory for some models, but like was mentioned above, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
And as far as the 3M clear bra - a very good addition to the car - helps protect the front end from rock chips and bugs. It will come off - but it's not the easiest thing to do. If it were my car, I'd leave it on.
Yeah I'm in the market too and saw that car. Its only worth $35k to one of those very, very few people who buy a car that screams "F'ing Drive Me!!" and doesnt. To me, its worth $30k, then I would use the extra $5k for H/C, then drive the wheels off it. That was a $50k car - he took a $15k hit minimum for 782 miles. Its still on its 3rd tank of gas!
You will always pay a premium for a pristine very low mileage Corvette. Rogers Corvettes in Orlando FL deals in that type of car and from what I undertstand they always get their price or very close to it. http://www.rogerscorvette.com/cars.php
The '03 Z06 with only 782 miles will be worth $30K+ to someone. You can probably find one with 10,000 or more miles for around $25K, give or take. If you plan on daily driving the car with 782 miles you will lose $10K real fast. A car like would be a purchased as an addition to a collection and if the mileage is kepy extremely low it will maintain that value and gradually increase.
I would like to have that car but it would be hard not to just go ahead and buy a C6 for that price. That car is worth 35K to someone who wants a low mile C5 Z06 for a collection. If you plan on driving it though I would look for one with 10 to 30K for 10 to 15 less.
Why do some of you compare pricing of a C6 to a C5 Z06? The comparison should be against a C6 Z06. I wouldn't trade my C5 Z06 for any early C6. A C5 zo6 is a true sports car while a C6 is a more of a GT. There are a lot of thread's about this, many have even switched back to a C5 z06 after owning a C6.

HP that's why. The C5 Z06 is only slightly faster than a base C6. So that's always the comparison in sports or muscle cars.
And I didn't know most of us were driving GT's and not "True" Sports Cars Doesn't matter how many threads there are about this, If we took everything at face value around here a fool is what we would become.
Little touchy aren't we?

Other things to consider for you, what interior color is the Z06? If "Just gotta have a red/red Z06", then it may be worth $35k to you.
What are your plans for the car? Drive it or store it? If you plan to drive it I wouldn't say $35k, if you plan to store it for another 10 years than maybe it is worth $35k.
I would leave the 3M installed, they run around $1000 installed.
Don't let them fool you about the 50th Anniversary thing. Yes it has the 50th Anniversary C5 emblem, but it's NOT an Anniversary model. All 2003 Corvettes had that C5 emblem. The 50th Anniversary model Corvettes were the dark red color, not Torch Red.
If you plan to use a bank or credit union to help finance the car you will get no where near $35,000 from them for a loan.
Like it was stated above used cars are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. I was recently in this situation. I knew exactly the car I wanted. Well I found it and paid top dollar for it, and traveled 800 miles to get it. It was one of 37 made in the color/option combination that I wanted and paid close to the original sticker price for a 3 year old car with 8,000 miles on it. But it was worth it to me because it was from a GM dealership and I was able to get extended warranty, free scheduled service for 3 years, and I plan to drive it daily.
Good Luck it whatever you decide. Either way it's an awesome car.
Oh and my used car purchase was a 2009.5 Pontiac/Holden G8 GXP
I sorta, kinda agree with aprilicatia to the extent that the C5 Z06 is just easier to drive hard. I've owned a H/C '01 Z06, '08 S/C Z06, and '07 Z51 vert S/C. Also I drove a '04 Z and a '05 Z51 coupe back-to-back at Spring Mountain advanced driving course back in '05. Both equally quick, Z more confidence inspiring. I've gotten rid of the C6s and am now haunting this section for my next toy, if that tells you anything.
All Vettes are sportscars.

A C5 Z06 is a sports car; it's about handling, going around turns, going on a track.
Do you own a C6? The steering response is not comparable to a C5 Z06. It's not confidence inspiring at all. My brother has a C6 so what I'm saying is not face value, it's from experience.
Look at my avatar, do I look like a touchy person? Sounds like you're pretty angry, though.

For that money you aren't far from a c6 z06 which would be a lot better. If i were shopping in that range that's what I would look for then I'd drive the crap out of it.
Definitely not worth $35K to me. The only reason I would pay that much for this car is if I were looking for a museum piece. If you plan to drive it, I would just look for a low mile car in the sub-$25K range. I got mine with 40K miles last summer for $21K.
