Default Deep Scratch Help

I have a few (three) fairly deep scratches on my 98 Purple Pearl. Only about 1 1/2 inches long but I want them gone.
Looking for a professional scratch remover in the Rhode Island - Massachusetts area. Having only use of one arm I don't even want to attempt to try removing them. Does anyone know of a reliable shop in my area.

I never heard of your color, it must be beautiful. I think your black top works better than the Light Oak on your color. I bought a Navy Blue convertible with Light Oak top and interior just because of the color combination. It had a light scratch about 6 inches long but not deep. I was able to use some blue color wax in the area and used some carnuba wax over that and it can not be seen. I just redo it every few months since it is garage kept. Good luck with your fix and understand your desire to make it "gone".

Bottom line is that they can be repaired. That said, if it is just in the clearcoat, they can be buffed out quickly and inexpensively. If deeper, it will take much more effort, more cost, and a higher risk of it NOT matching. Get a reputable place to take a look at it for sure.

Might want to post this in the appropriate regional section of the forum or even in the Car Care section - might get some good recommendations there.

To bad your not closer. I would do it for nothing. Like said if the scratch can be felt with your fingernail and you dont see white or grey under neath it your only in the clear. Buffing that area will not remove the scratch.

The only way to remove a scratch that you can feel with your nail is to wetsand it, use compound, and then I use A 2 step polish and the scratch is gone.

Dont pay too much... Now that you know how the process is handled, go to a detail shop and tell them you need this done. Once they know you have the know how, they will think twice about overcharging. Honestly, 3 scratches would only take someone maybe 30 minutes to remove all 3 from start to finish.
