I gave the car a quick wash off for Memorial weekend and noticed this...
I'm amused It's in the little kick out area ahead of the back tire, I've never noticed this on my other cars. Question for the day. At what speed do you get bug spattter on the side of your car? Velocity *Mass- Angle of impact /drag coefficient=

As another owner of a beautiful MY, get used to it! You'll find you need to wash the backside of the fenders, and the bottom portion every time you drive it if you want to keep it clean. It seems every piece of dirt, bugs and tar really show up on MY. Why they hit there, who knows!
I've noticed that just sitting still, bugs are attracted to MY. In my driveway, in the shop, they just land on it, walk around a few seconds until they decide it isn't something that can be eaten or mated with, and then fly away. Maybe your bug was at your 11:00 position when it saw your car and attempted to make a trick approach at a shallow angle and..... oops!! SMEAR!! Every good landing starts off with a good approach LOL
Well, since you asked. The bug can never actually hit anything, but you can exchange photons. This is related somewhat to gravity but more so to the weak nuclear force. Hope this helps.
