Default Can you identify this?

I purchased a 6K mile 03 Anniversary convertible four months ago. Last week I found this in the forward area of the trunk laying on the carpet. I really have not used the car much nor have I carried anything in the trunk so I suspect this thingey is part of the car or, was inadvertently stuck in a corner from the previous owner.

I do welcome smart A$$ answers and would expect nothing less from the likes of yous guys but I would like to know what this is......

Thanks!!!!

I think BLACKICE is correct. Look on the back wall of the trunk (opposite of the tail lights) to see if the other three are still attached. That doohicky kind of looks like my cargo net doohickies.

Just looked at my AE and the hooks look like this post, however if you only have 3 in place the previous owner may have used that as a replacement.

I believe that's a condom stretcher for a gnome. Might also work for a Keebler elf.
