plasti dipped mirrors
for you PD fans, i submit for your comments.. if you're gonna ask why or have non constructive criticism, just move on. thanks.
i saw this another thread a week ago or so and thought i'd give this a try myself...
when i masked off my mirror base, i got a little too close with the tape and ended up fraying the PD a bit when i took off the tape.. you can see it if you look closely..
so i peeled the dip from the lower portion of the mirror base...
i think i like the top one better... and i'm gonna rotate the mirrors next time.. the part of the mirror next to the window is a little sparse but not really noticible unless you're in the car...

yes, rotating the mirrors 90* makes it easier to spray all angles.

I like it and it's much cheaper than the black mirror socks that cost $50.00.I will be doing mine in the near future. Thanks for showing them and it looks very nice.

Looks good either way, but I would redo the bottom portion of the mirror like in the first picture.

Man what a good idea especially for road trips. These mirrors take a beating.

Nice job - gives a little extra protection to the factory paint.
